Finnish has one of the longest words in the world--lentokonesuihkuturbiinimoottoriapumekaanikkoaliupseerioppilas (“airplane jet turbine engine auxiliary mechanic non-commissioned officer student”)--though it isn’t commonly used. And one of the oldest examples of Finnish writing that exists is a spell from the 1200s. And many heavy metal music lovers choose to learn the language because the genre is so popular in Finland and many songs are written in the language.
